Revealing how stem cells integrate developmental and environmental signals.
Revealing how stem cells integrate developmental and environmental signals.
Plant stem cells continuously generate new tissues throughout the life of a plant. Our research aims to understand how stem cells integrate peptide signals, redox dynamics, and environmental information to control growth and adaptation. Using Arabidopsis and rice, we combine genetics, live-cell imaging, spatial transcriptomics, and biochemical approaches to uncover the molecular mechanisms that maintain developmental robustness under stress. Ultimately, we seek to translate these principles into strategies for improving crop resilience in a changing climate.
