Advancing Animal Science with AI and Natural Products

Driven by industrial demands, our laboratory and core facility bridge the gap between rigorous foundational research and cutting-edge academic-industrial collaboration. Our core research focuses on the following three major areas:

  • Phytogenics & Skeletal Muscle Development: Utilizing cell-based screening platforms and animal models, we develop botanical natural products (phytogenics) that effectively promote skeletal muscle growth and development, significantly enhancing the weight gain and growth performance of both experimental and livestock animals.
  • AI-Driven Animal Management Systems: We have developed a smart breeding and management system to precisely assist in the breeding of specific rodent strains and the regulation of experimental animal cohorts. This system has been successfully deployed in commercial livestock facilities, effectively reducing labor costs while maximizing biosecurity and economic efficiency.
  • Preclinical Animal Models & Translational Imaging: We establish diverse subcutaneous and orthotopic tumor xenograft mouse models to evaluate the anti-tumor and anti-metastasis efficacy of herbal medicines, botanical drugs, and molecular vaccines. By integrating advanced in vivo imaging systems (including fluorescence, luminescence, ultrasound, and X-ray), we actively implement and uphold the 3R principles (Replacement, Reduction, and Refinement) in animal experimentation.

Positioned as a "Bridging Platform between Scientific Research and Industrial Application," our laboratory has established a comprehensive pipeline spanning from prototype development and mass-production stress testing to efficacy evaluation. We transform basic science into economically viable commercial products while cultivating interdisciplinary talents equipped with both R&D excellence and industrial expertise.
