We welcome students and researchers who are curious about plant biology,environmental science, and crop systems to join our laboratory.Our research focuses on understanding how plants sense, regulate, andmaintain mineral nutrient and metal homeostasis in complex and dynamic soilenvironments. We aim to connect fundamental discoveries in plant biologywith broader challenges in sustainable agriculture, environmental resilience,and food security.Our laboratory encourages open, critical thinking and interdisciplinaryexploration. By integrating approaches from molecular genetics, biochemistry,plant physiology, root biology, and environmental chemistry, we study howplants interact with their environment across molecular, cellular, andecosystem scales. Members of our laboratory receive rigorous scientifictraining and opportunities to participate in international collaborations andconferences.
