Decoding the key immune mechanisms of plants, Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center Research Fellow Yet-Ran Chen wins the “Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship Leap Lecture” Award

Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center (ABRC) Research Fellow Yet-Ran Chen has long focused on the analysis of the endogenous immune defense mechanisms of plants. By developing mass spectrometry technology and combining chemical biology, biochemistry and molecular biology methods, he has achieved many important breakthroughs and discoveries in research. This year, Dr. Chen was awarded the “Leap Lecture” award through the academic selection of the Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship.
The “Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship” was launched by Dr. Yuan T. Lee, an Academia Sinica academician and Nobel Prize winner. It was established by combining the forces of the business community and all walks of life to encourage young scholars in the country to boldly conduct groundbreaking research. Since 2024, through the “Leap Lecture” award, the Foundation has specifically recognized outstanding scholars who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and are committed to long-term and innovative research.
Dr. Yet-Ran Chen’s award is not only a recognition of his academic contributions but also highlights the ABRC’s leading position in plant and agricultural science research.
