Research Focus
Our laboratory employs a multifaceted research strategy to enhance the efficiency of natural product chemistry research, aiming to optimize the development of crop protection formulations and human therapeutics. With their rich structural diversity and potent biological activities, natural products serve as a key source for discovering novel protective and therapeutic agents.
To accelerate research on microbial natural products, we integrate various approaches, including:
- In situ metabolomics: Utilizing imaging mass spectrometry to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of metabolites;
- Comparative metabolomics: Employing molecular networking to investigate metabolic variations across species or environmental conditions;
- Genomic and transcriptomic mining: Identifying key genes involved in natural product biosynthesis;
- Synthetic biology platforms: Optimizing and engineering biosynthetic pathways to enhance the availability and functionality of target compounds.
Through a rigorous and integrative research strategy, we aim to gain deeper insights into the progression and mechanisms of agricultural diseases and develop innovative therapeutic drugs and biological control solutions.
